India

In India HSC/Intermediate in India is also known in the country as 12th Class (also known as +2) exam that is conducted at the state level by states' boards of education, including (Maharashtra board, MP board, Odia board, MP board Odia Bihar board, and many others) and also on a larger scale, that can be the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim (BOSSE) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). CBSE gives this exam every year. NIOS offers it twice a year for exams open to the public. It is possible to take exams that are available on demand. A different exam is the 10th grade exam, which is administered at the state level by State boards of education, and at an international level by the Central Board of Secondary Education and in India the exam is known as the SSC exam. There are six topics covered in the HSC examination that are specific to each State Board but common in the context of tests that are administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education

Pakistan

It is also referred to as the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) and is sometimes called Intermediate is a renowned exam that is passed by students in those in the higher Secondary Schools or Intermediate College (Junior college) in Pakistan. After passing Matriculation Grades 9 or 10, they are then enrolled in an intermediate college and complete their grade 11 and 12. After they have completed both gradelevels, they have to take standardized tests in the subject areas they study. The tests are administered by schools at the provincial level at a scale that is provincial as well as by an organization called the FBISE on a national scale. After passing the test, students receive a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This phase of learning is also referred to as FSc/FA/ICS. There are several streams students can choose from for their 11th or 12th grade which includes pre-medical engineering , sciences (or social sciences) and commerce , as well as computer science. Each stream offers three electives, aswell being three subjects that must be taken, including English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal

National Examination Board (Nepal) is the body responsible to administer all tests for senior schools, which includes the 11th-12th grades Higher Secondary exams (10+2) 11th, 11th, and the 12th Grade SEE Exams as well as the 8th grade District Level Exam. After successful completion of the Higher Secondary Examinations students are eligible to go to the university.

Additionally to National examinations for the higher secondary, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) GCE Advanced Level qualifications (known as A-level) is also offered by a small number of the private, public and foreign schools. It is believed to be comparable with the National Secondary school (10+2) examination.
