They also ensure that they maintain the HSC dimension in a way that is appropriate throughout their lifespan , by making sure that self-renewal is balanced with differentiation.   Understanding the mechanisms of self-renewal and differentiation HSC is a crucial issue.   In this review, we focus on the structure of the hematopoietic system the information available on the molecular and microenvironmental signals that control self-
